This is my first post on /toy/ and I found this Lego general. I used to love Lego when I was a kid - up until maybe 13 or so. I always had a lot of fun building, playing, collecting, etc. Now, I'm 26, and I only have a medium sized-box and a handful of mini-figures left. Every once in a while, I get the urge to "get back into" Lego, but I just don't know.
Please don't feel like this is a judgment, but it's honestly a hangup of mine - I have a full time job now and money that I could spend on this hobby, but I just can't shake the kiddie stigma of it. Feeling like a little kid, but not in a carefree way. A way that makes me feel like I'd be one of those weird TLC documentary folks. I don't know.
I just kinda wanna get a cool Lego set and put it together. But I feel like I'd be a baby for doing so. Anybody else ever feel that hangup? How do you get past it? I know the answer is "just do what makes you happy and fuck what people think" but I can't get there.
Sidenote: my favorite sets were the Johnny Thunder sets. I got Lego magazine and the comics that tied into the sets were god-tier.
