It's not the exact US military FS color, and I was worried this color will be too inaccurate and look more like the OIF Challenger 2's, but looking at the whole thing it looks like color variations I've seen before.
Either way it only matters minimally, since this will only be the paint chip layer, after this it's gonna get the three-color woodland camo. I'll do a proper desert Abrams from a properly detailed kit, like a RFM one.
Also one thing that really sucks about modern 1:35 MBT's: they fucking eat paint, and take forever to spray each layer, the surface area is just that huge. Maybe next vehicle will be a Panzer III or a BMD. Or be completely stupid again and do a Merkava IV.
