>>10291723Scanners are something I definitely want to invest in at somepoint. But scanners are one of those things which are very much "you get what you pay for", so if I am to buy one it would have to be atleast one of the $500-$800 devices as anything cheaper gets really poor results. I sculpt irl but never have been able to get used to sculpting digitally, so a scanner would be fantastic for me as it would give me the abilitiy to sculpt to my hearts content and upload it for use in my Polynian cottage industry. That and I could *potentially* scan original sets, but I am not a Chinese factory foreman so I am not immune to a cease and desist. At the moment I will focus on just getting a basic Polynian kit done. And if all goes well and I sell enough Polynians I can purchase a scanner and then start selling completely custom builds from there
>>10291909Oh boy, trust me I would love to do that. While I respect Daibadi as a company for their work and designs, I hate their business model. Sell a figurine that would have cost under $10 to manufacture and then sell it at $80+ mark up is bad enough. But to then deliberately shelve a kit, and only re-release it every few years to drive up FOMO is disgusting to me. But if
>>10289082 can deliver I should be able to sell basic kits at a far cheaper price and potentially make kits like the Shamrock in the future a far more accessible and not so rare addition to a collectors shelf
>Pregnant belliesThe idea of that makes me shudder, but if the community wants it THAT bad and a 3d model exists I can potentially create an injection mold for it
