Sorry guys, I tried following your advice the best I could and this is the result. These started out as the legs of a Charmy Bee figure (so they were black) and I had to paint them beige for a Cream custom. I put a layer of primer on both legs, and the one on the left was done with my paints thinned with water, the one on the right was done with the paint in its regular state, the only difference I can tell is the one on the left took twice as many coats. I just don't think the folk art paint I use is good for this kind of thing, but it's the best paint that I can find around here. I think the reason most people don't mind is because of the simple art styles of Sonic characters, they're just solid blocks of color for the most part.
