>>7027655Almost all of my aluminum work is done with a CNC. Pic related is a completed cut job on some angle irons for the track sponsons. Most of the pieces will be bent in a brake to the right shape.
Part of the reason I picked the Whippet was it's relative ease of manufacturing. It's all just flat plates held together with angle irons. Not sure how far I can push this machine milling aluminum, so I haven't done any complex shapes or thick parts.
For a car I'd imagine there are a lot of curves you'll have to tackle which most likely means that you need to use some forming techniques. Haven't had any experience with that yet, but some day I'm sure I'll try
