>>10949114This being a toy soldier thread and not necessarily strictly concerned with details, you can be forgiven for thinking those WW2 tommies are basically the same as WWI tommies. But the more striking differences are:
- gaiters instead of puttees
- trouser pocket on the left leg
- different web gear (larger pouches)
- different helmets (subtle shape difference, they have the Mark II helmet)
Additionally, and this is a bit weird given that Airfix is a british company and those are supposed to be british infantry, but the provision among them of a significant number of M1/M1A1 Thompsons instead of Sten guns in a field unit suggests they are, in fact, actually Canadians.
