But they are splendid armies indeed, heavily based on earlier armies, themselves descended from legendary Matchbox sets; this box in fact is basically a remake of a classic Hing Fat/Billy V bucket of said quartet of armies. A few years ago there were similar such buckets floating around, probably still are and they pretended to also be heirs to the Billy V 4-army bucket; unfortunately the preview images betrayed the substantial loss in figure quality and thus I was never tempted to try one. This box was different and customer-supplied photos helped seal the deal.
Moving on to the actual troops, I would say of the four armies they are the closest to their near-ancestors, with all the same poses and few cosmetic changes. The most noteworthy changes would be the removal of bayonets from the charging figures' rifles and the prone Bren gunner's aim is more elevated.
