In her more recent classes some of the kids don't even have toys at home while practically every one has their own tablet because it's the perfect way for a parent to get their child to sit down and shut up. So, let's pretend you're a kid growing up today. You've got this magic rectangle that can give you games, pictures, videos, music, TV, movies, social interaction. Or you've got a piece of plastic you have to use your imagination to do something with. Your parents also seem a lot happier when you're quietly in front of your rectangle than when you're running around the house having Batman beat the living shit out of every vaguely suspicious figure he comes across.
