Secondly, it's usually more for melee or dynamic movement poses, but when you're putting robots in sideways gunslinging or running poses, I often find myself moving the leg backwards to balance them. For a hot head like Hot Rod is supposed to be, you'll want as much dynamism as you get. It's one of those things that are really apparent when it's gone, and especially when the other figure in the wave has it too.
