>>9200138There's tons of resources out there, from free patterns, vidya tutorials, books on plushes and doll-making, and tutorials and patterns you have to pay for. You can also join plush or doll making forums. Don't be embarrassed. The fumo/chibi style dolls are hugely popular right now, and since the basic form is simple to sew, you can spend more time learning how to embroider the features, make different hair styles, make clothes for it, etc., to customize them. I'd start with Abigail Glassenberg's book, Stuffed Animals from Concept to Construction, for an excellent beginner intro, then move on to youtube tutorials. Tons of listings for patterns, and custom fumo-style dolls on Etsy, to get some idea what's out there and what sells.
