The show accuracy thing is still a poor excuse in my opinion though. They should have embraced those designs and decos for what they are and release them as accurately to the original toys as possible. Pic related is how you try to go for accuracy reusing most of the old mold, not this obvious "save money on paint apps and try to pass it as accuracy" thing they went for here. If they really cared about that they would have added paint to Megatron's chest and Optimus forearms.
These are neither accurate to the show nor accurate to the toys.
