People who haven't worked in the corporate sector don't appreciate how these giant companies are mostly comprised of competing fiefdoms who are in no way set up to pull something elaborate as "Division A over here is going to waste a phenomenal amount of time, money and resources pretending to put on a crowdfunding campaign that will somehow magically benefit the REAL crowdfunding campaign that Division B will be launching at almost the same time".
