>>8214150I mostly know where I want to have joints, I'm just at a loss on how to create this arrangement of sockets in a way that doesn't significantly bulk up the leg structure or cause a serious risk of breaking parts. What I had planned was the top layout, and trying to do without those parts without increasing the amount of space occupied results in the bottom layout, but I'm almost positive one or more of the pieces connected to the red axle there would break under the stress, so that doesn't really work either.
I'll give that guy's stuff a look, at a glance it seems his creations are generally a solid 6 inches or more shorter than what I'm trying to do here, but it might help regardless.
