I'm really happy with the metallic indigo of the head and legs, and the way I was able to paint-match his crotch gradient decently. plus I added some on the stinger for a little more realism
but the purple on the claws and shoulders came out way too dark. For some reason, ultramarine blue and cadmium red just turn black, and it gets blacker as it dries. I gave it another coat with some white added, but it's still darker than I wanted. had I used a thinner coat over the extant purple, it would have been perfect (because in some spots, it was. but it was all streaky). live and learn.
