There's so much wasted space with plastic boxes because shit's actually pretty fragile, so everything needs to be flanging outward and reinforced to carry any sort of weight.
Whereas ammo cans are just minimalized square metal boxes with a lid, which saves a ton of space.
I've been looking at metal tool boxes lately too, to replace my tackleboxes, but the only ones that are stackable are Japanese ones, and they're super fucking expensive.
I've thought about bank/safety desposit boxes, but they're too small and cost more than an ammo box.
