The fact that the new people who work at Mattel numbered the actual Barbie character #3 in her own fucking line speaks volumes about where their priorities are right now. Barbie is the brand. She should always be #1 not #3.
Barbie has practically lost her own identity in her own line, and Teresa, Christie, and Kira have been totally erased. I'm guessing because Mattel wants to make the name 'Barbie' not just pertain to the white, blonde fashion model we've grown up with for 50 years, and instead encompass the typical 11 inch doll they basically 'invented' to be part of the diversity/inclusive culture that is now our modern America. Not hating, this is history. And Barbie is definitely a part of American.
