>>10031174Yeah the Worlds Greatest Hobby layout is fine for starting out (I'm assuming you built it with EZ-track or something similar) but it's incredibly basic (Not that that's a bad thing). It's moreso that the EZ-Track system is way more clunky to work with in terms of track planning compared to other brands like Atlas or Peco, leading to more space being used up due to the huge curves/switches you get with EZ-Track.
There's a ton of things you can do with a 4x8, and there's plenty of 4x8 layout designs to find on Google, Pinterest, or places like Model Railroader's trackplan database. You just need to consider what you want to model on your layout first.
