So what's the deal with this? Since the piece was introduced in 1999 up until it was retired in 2007, no matter the color, both versions have existed and either-or was included at near random in every set it came in. I'm guessing that both variations came out of the same batch, maybe from different areas of the same injection mold. Kinda makes me want to see exactly how they were made.
