Same thing with Stormtroopers, everyone likes them clean but Model kits who are as clean as one can possibly get are ignored because whoever posed the promo shots couldn't drop the shoulders a bit down and the 1,5 millimeter of length missing in the neck which is still less visually distracting than the marionette like proportions of the Black Series.
I hope they enjoy the weird giant silver damage mark on Hasbro Grievous' head. The only time he remotely looked like that was when clones shot him in the face in Lair of Grievous and then the scorch mark was black.

There is also the Bandai Vehicle model line, I think it was 10$ for an A-Wing two-pack that's around 1/144 scale.
