>>8230213 suggested. I heated up the part with a hairdryer so that the plastic started to bend a bit. I then put the part in a splint with rubber bands & Popsicle sticks to force the plastic to stay in a straight alignment. Another blast with the hair dryer, and the part was put in the freezer, Popsicle splints & all. It's going to stay in the freezer overnight. Tomorrow I'll take it out and run some hot water on it before removing the splint. Wish me luck!
