I popped kat open to get a look at what was going on and if there's anything I could do to improve it, and man, they made some weird choices under the hood. The waist piece is pretty much just a tube covering a balljoint on a stem from the waist to chest, not a joint on top/bottom like I was expecting. The socket has a cut in the middle too, so only 60% or so of it is making contact with the ball. Fixing the looseness is gonna be hard, much less carving out more range.
Also, the really loose shoulders on her and the mark 7 are because the sockets aren't one piece. They've got notches cut into them a little like pic related, and I can already see stressmarks at the base, probably from when they attached the arms in the first place. I splashed some future in there, but I haven't had much luck when there's this little actual contact.
This line is a REALLY good effort for all it's flaws, but I really hope they fix this stuff moving on. I'm not looking forward to more helicopter arms and hands that can't hold guns.
