>>6656944It's so much of a cultural issue than it is specifically a corporate decision. Fandom is so obsessive nowadays, what LEGO initially stood for is getting really bogged down. Hell, even the most uprooted Ideas projects are the ones with licensed IPs.
I made a small note about how I feel about this on my Pulse Survey from 2017, but I know that's probably not going to make too much of a difference.
I know this isn't the best answer, but because of all the partnerships LEGO has with so many different companies, getting a real voice in about this is difficult without a real public push, and that's not gonna be easy. The only time in recent history where that's happened with any significant change was the whole Greenpeace shit, and with that employees were forced to sign a NDA and some stores had activists come in and pour oil everywhere before LEGO finally cut their partnership with Shell after months.
Bottom line I'm trying to get at is its a cultural thing more than a LEGO thing, and those types of issues are really difficult to fix.
