It makes me think that this is a step towards the concept of energy-conserving Maximals and Predacons, with all the G1 crew downsizing their bodies (helps that the Titan Masters are mini-versions of themselves).
Besides we have Masterpiece for slavish G1 homages. I'm fine with CHUG being creative variations on on the classics.
