>>7700671>It's supposed to be a whopping 27m tall, and the GP-02 is only 18.5m to the top of its head when standing straight up.I think we can all agree it's too small, but that 27m does account for his barrel as well, not just head height. So the GP02 should be about 2/3 height of the Xamel, up to the highest point of his barrell. In reality, I think we'll see the GP02 at about 3/4. We'll only know for sure once they release and they can measured in proper neutral poses.
>It's P-Bandai with a price over $100 already. They would have been better served just making a gigantic and definitive one, I would have been happy to splash out the cash.I'm definitely getting it anyway, I still think it looks amazing, just small. I would have preferred them to hold onto some of those effect parts and put that plastic into the Xamel, though. I think posing him in his forward thrusting position with that angled support will probably help him look a little bigger than what he is.
>Honestly, I think it's even worse than it looks in that picture. In the scene just before Gato takes off, the forward leg of GP02 doesn't seem to look like it goes as far forward as it does in this display. After taking that screenshot, I decided to just watch the battle again for other references, since it's been about 10 years since I watched the show proper. The Xamel definitely has a case of inconsistency in his size, there's a lot of scenes that him look absolutely massive. When Burning is trying to hold off the Xamel, it absolutely dwarfs his GM, pic very much related. I can get Bandai not wanting to make him in his oversized scenes, but they could have at least made him as big as his smallest scenes. There's no way you're going to get that scene of Kou jumping off the Xamel have the same impact with these figures. Now I'm wondering how big the old MSIA version is. The new one looks sharp as hell, but maybe the old toy has a better size?
