So as it turns out, somehow they did indeed do something to fix the knees on the E-Web stormtrooper. I can't visibly see what changed on the part, but the E-Web troopers are able to hit almost 90 degrees and achieve a more correct-looking kneeling pose that's nearly the same as the pre-rocker version. The ankles also feel less fragile on it, which solves both my major complaints with the retooling; really didn't expect hasbro to fix this but I'm more than happy to be proven wrong here.
