I think you should just try to track down the Palisades line. It was fucking glorious--as articulated as they could possible make the designs for the main duo (tiny little swivel hinges at elbows and hips iirc), and the larger characters like Mr. Horse and the Shaven Yak got better articulation. These figures were also fucking massive, the Shaven Yak is super heavy. And they got great accessories, like Mr. Horse has a suit jacket you can swap on, and rubber nipples that you can painstakingly stretch over his limbs.
