the "one giant detailed $300+ set"... sold!... a lot!
they did it to Zelda, D&D, and some others...
blame "the public" for buying those giant sets and supporting that business model.
blah blah, piece count, blah blah, beautiful well-crafted displays, blah blah value for the price.
(none of that is in debate)
Lego could make beautiful, well-crafted, SMALLER, affordable sets, too. but the big ones sell, so they'll keep doing that.
