Lego noob reporting in. I ordered the Saturn V from the Lego store (online) the day it was released. Since then its status has changed 3-4 times and today I received notice it would be delayed by two weeks after having been told it would ship 6/16 twice by customer service. Now I'm beginning to doubt I'll even receive a kit. Meanwhile there are sets priced 3x retail available on eBay and Amazon and tons of build videos up on YouTube. Very frustrating.
Is this kind of service normal for Lego? Is their product line so strong they can completely fuck up new product roll outs and no one cares? As I understand it, the only way you could get a Saturn V was to order at midnight online or stand in line at a store and hope they have a kit.
TL;DR - Why won't Lego shut up and take my money.
