>>11370379I think the next big thing will be anime. I saw Dandadan, and think theres enough pottential with monsters, and characters to support a couple waves, but I don't know how dandadan could get into stores with its sexual undertones.
I guess chainsaw man got into stores, and its pretty bad with those too. The problem with anime, has always been marketing to a western audience, so they'll probably not be able to pick more popular anime like chainsaw man, jujutsu kaisen, or dandadan which are really obvious picks for toy lines.
We've already run the complete course on MHA, so theres really nothing to hold down the fort for an anime toyline. Online shows like Helluva boss, and hazbin hotel are not very action figure friendly. there was another with a clown, but again those would suck as figures.
As for games "gamers don't buy toys" applies. Hasbro knocked it out of the park with their fortnite toyline and it still got cancelled. The only thing i see right now is a gamerverse line of marvel rivals.
I just don't see without a super popular kid-friendly anime coming out in the next 3 years, for there to be a path to recovery. Maybe they'll make a pg dub of chainsaw man, and jujutsu kaisen so they can offer toys.
as a teenager I hated 4kids media, but now I have alot of respect for their tomfoolery, or else I would of never got to experience anime as a kid. We need 4kids media back.
