Look at baltmatrix, anthonyscustoms and peaugh, they're no frills, yet we just find new ways to pick on them (balt's shitty info that sounds like he got it from facebook comments, anthony is a tad too dry and peaugh is still ham handed as fuck).
I've actually come to like the little skits depending on how its done, anyone remember rrobert184's gunpla reviews and such, serious during the review but not dead pan, with a little skit at the end that might even be a thought we may of had of the figure at hand.
Guys like thew and jobby are comedy acts straight up, though it seems jobby only became this way over the course of time, look at his older reviews, he changed for the views while thew is just being himself, he gives no fucks.
If one doesn't like to filter out all of these YT personalities I'd stick to pictorials like hacchaka does on his blog or even
dalong.net, sure there is a write up but its foreign and the images do all of the talking, even fwoosh's blog post do a marvelous job when his videos fail.
I swear though optibotimus is cancer, can't tell if he's autistic or trying to reach hard for cash by pretending to have a mental impairment since his bid for coke sponsorship failed.
...I must say though I kinda like emgo just because (outside of his skits, fucking burrito prime WHY) his personality matches with mine, when he does rants I often had the same opinions, I only watch reviews to justify purchases because I don't let anyone else decide what I buy.
