Which is to say, most companies don't hold onto a license for years without releasing products. They might not even hold onto a license past a single figure is produced, so not even a half a year. Sometimes they might hold a license to make a CERTAIN type of figure, like funko-type statueshit but not the license to make an actual action figure.
