>>10311379I'm pretty sure April was always meant to be white, but may have seemed like she was bi-racial or lightskinned because Laird or Eastman (I forget) must have used their black girlfriend as reference or something, which unintentionally made her look black, like pic rel. She also had an 80s perm and tan, and since it's black and white, it might make it kinda hard for someone who hasn't read every issue (or someone that doesn't remember the 80s) to tell whether she just has a tan, or is a hip-hoppin, mystery-meat urban youth.
