It's easier for stores to buy and sell at a higher price point. More profit per shelfspace, especially for a known line that will have a high sell through.

We've seen how all other kickstarter toy companies have been able to sell their toys to other retailers at actual wholesale prices, while either costing the same or maybe a few bucks more, while all their Mythic Legion figures go for almost twice as much when sold by the same retailer, despite being cheaper to produce.
4H expects a very high profit margin and they overpriced their shit because of that.
