the fact that a lot of dudes don't like wearing colour is a remnant of of some avant garde british gentleman called Beau Brummel
i can't find anything but at some point in england there was some snob in charge who enforced a law that autistically prescribed how men should dress a certain way or face charges. (and some absolute mad lads who 'technically within the limitations of these laws' still dressed as flamboyant as possible to spite him)
because this was a norm for so long thanks to autism it just never really veired back that much
(every day) Fashion for the most part is ettiquette of social norms and trying to evolve within those constraints, much like how in western society its 'appropiate' to wear black at a burial but within those rules you can do whatever. In Lego luckily those rules don't exist so you can choose to do whatever AND build whatever you want if you don't like the set. So please use whatever colours Lego that are available and you like.
And if you are concerned about your masculinity, are uncreative and have autism you can always buy starwars sets.
Good luck with LQ's musicvideo contest anons!
