If you can't figure out why a small ethnic race ( Like the Sami, Ainu, and other small indigenous tribes that are within larger cultures ) aren't huge and prevalent today is probably the same reason many Native Americans and Inuit ( or as you're ignorant ass would call them, Eskimo ) aren't as prevalent in cultures today.
The dominant culture often overtakes and changes the smaller cultures that are within, a lot of Sami are more 'white' as you'd view it ( because you're either white or not says you ) because they're a minority and have been mixing with the newer generation.
Don't get mad when people call out your ignorance. Not everyone needs to know about the reindeer herders but considering it was constantly talked about an the fact that culturally reindeer herding is a Sami cultural thing.
