Mega's catalog is mostly licensed IPs or IPs that Mattel controls, and their attempts at creating original themes (Probuilder, Inventions, Yootz, etc.) have mostly withered on the vine. Also, Mattel would rather take Mega and all of their IPs down with them before selling to Hasbro or any other competitor. That's even if Hasbro or anybody else is in the market to buy a building block brand (which they are not).
Why do we have this panicky hand-wringing every financial quarter? "Waaaahh, is Mega gonna be okay?" There's no point in worrying about what might happen. The important thing is that Mega exists now. So buy it up while you still can.
