>>10596007>What is your opinion of the chicken fried toys stuff?I'm likely biased by my love of cowboys and Westerns, but I love them.
> they look like they won't be able to hold rifles or pose super well, your assessment is correct. Most 1/18 figures struggle with holding a long rifle or a shotgun, but the limited wrist articulation and and pseudo-ratchet joint that keeps the shoulders stiff and strong really limit how well they can hold a long gun. My Sharpshooter is pretty poor at holding the buffalo rifle he came with, which is why I normally pose him with pistols I got from an accessory pack. I'm sure there are people that could get him into a better sniper pose, but this is the best I can do. I also posed a Hammond Collection figure with a double barrel shotgun to compare their ability to shoulder their weapons and neither comes close, but the HC figures better wrists do help a little. But my Joy Toys Mech pilot is also shit at holding a rifle and its got way better articulation than either the Mattel or CFT figure in most places so it may just be one of the limitation of the scale.
> The native sculpts coming down the pipe look incredible tooI'm very excited for them and the Weird West monsters. I absolutely need the Wendigo and Werewolf they showed off a Powercon. I doubt they will be able to stand bipedally without being pegged into their support stand, but they still look so cool that I'm gonna grab a whole pack of each.
