>>10735578I hope they don't commit to ow2 redesigns... most of them are pretty mediocre, even in the game they are unselected by default.
>>10734038>>10734065>>10734091the paint job is so lacking it may as well be non-existent, but there are no "lumps" or defects there, are you smoking crack?
I decided to do some research on this myself, to see if the fanboyism is warranted. Look at the cod pic subjectanon posted, specifically the texture on Ruins shoulder pad or the veins on his skull, or the textile pattern on his scarf. All of that detail is on the mcfarlane statue, probably because it's a straight print of the original high quality cinematic asset. There are no "extra details", just the details you see in the game. It's a 1:1 copy. That is the very least you can expect from McToys, that is their niche. The figma obviously has artist tweaks, it's sculpted by the people at POLY-TOYS which you can see Goodsmile uses for most higher detail/realistic stuff (like death stranding or Ghost of Tsushima etc) I wouldn't say it's bad, just different. Not autistically 1:1 with the game though. Doens't have to be. Both figures fill a different niche, one is an engineered luxury toy designed for complex posing, the other one is basically a blank canvas of the game model with jank articulation, but the option is there for you to fill in the detail yourself and paint something that can't be mass produced. I CAN imagine it would be a titillating experience to paint a detailed sculpt for $20, trying to capture all the on-screen detail, but I CAN'T imagine it would be fun to do that with an import that you expect to be perfect outside of the box.
