Not sure if this is the right thread but I'd appreciate some advice, I'm taking apart an old Bburago f40 1/18 and repainting it, and replacing the plastic parts with metal tremonia transkit parts. My first step will be to take off all the plastic parts and wash the metal body in pinesol to take off all the factory paint. I have a lacquer based white primer by Krylon and testors enamel paint in red to go on top of it. I'll finish it off with Decals and then testors enamel clear coats. My question is how long do I need to wait between primer mist coats, and then the first paint coat. After that how long do I wait between paint costs? Finally, do I need to wet sand the primer/paint coats between sprays? I see it recommended all the time online but they also say to wait a week or more between coats and a month for the wet coat to dry, and that would just take forever. Can someone please help me figure out how to get this thing painted? I'll be storing it under my sink or in a kitchen cabinet to dry.
