Is there anyone that can give me some advice here? The customs general is dead.
I've been working on a mold for the round vent on RID Twinferno for ages and regrettably the one I made using cold porcelain (in green) is the best one. I say regrettably because the material is too frail to endure having epoxy pushed into it without the thinner parts of it getting stuck in the epoxy.
I'm thinking of using an acrylic sealant I often use to tighten joints, liquid silicon glue, Soudal mounting glue, or kneadite in really thin slices for other molds. Oyumaru always has glaring imperfections, because of air or water getting trapped between it and the piece, and it's really not working as I want it to. If it could stick to itself without getting lines between the sections I would build it up like I did with the cold porcelain but it just doesn't.
Is it safe to use a release agent to keep the piece safe from those other materials? I'm mainly concerned about the acrylic sealant getting stuck to the piece and ruining the sculpt.
