New single release has a new cape that allows you to insert glider rods inside to represent how he flew in the movie but still no wire. You can probably tell from pictures alone the cowl isn't as good as it could be but I ain't paying over $100 for the NECA. The current standalone release is probably the best version of it as it comes with a pretty decent amount of accessories for the price.
I'd say it's generally worth it but it's all up to you. For a retail level Keaton Bats this is probably about as good as it's going to get because I highly doubt Mattel would do any better.
