>>8144927>It already ended. It's still airing in some countries. But yeah its really fucking mediocre. Faggots can say what they want about Animated but it was distinct and had a good amount of staying power and the characters were well written enough to actually be memorable e.g. Lockdown.
The problem wiith Cyberverse is that it feels like every decision in the series isn't made by people who understand the source material and the franchise but rather by businessmen who that only want cameos of shit fans will recognize and "whatever sells" without knowing why fans like them in the first place
e.g.
Animated: Swindle has a typical miserly, con man personality in G1. Animated takes a twist on this and makes him closer to a businessman, giving him a necktie and a "used car salesman" voice. Feels like the creators understood the personality of the original and took their own spin on it
Cyberverse: Cheetor goes from the young cocky rookie, student like character who grows into a soldier to being some weird religious nomad who talks in the 3rd person. No correlation whatsoever and makes no sense. Felt like adding them for the sake of it.
But at this point, people are so glad that it's finally something other than GEEWUN that they're fine with it anyway. Thats how hasbro gets away with making mediocrity
