Maybe slightly more articulate than the ones you see in the movie, but basically if you took two or more of these guys and gave them the ability to swap body parts and combine with each other, that's Modulok. I don't really buy the "scientist" shtick they push in the lore. If he's science based at all, he looks more like the experiment than the scientist.
