I've got a Creality CR-10 for FDM printing and an Anycubic Photon for SLA. The Photon and the Mars are pretty much identical in terms of results, according to all reviews I've heard. SLA doesn't have as many places things can go wrong mechanically, it either works or it doesn't basically.

And yeah dark souls is probably a little bit ilof a taller order (especially for an FDM printer) but I'm sure a resin printer could pull off the detail. Pictured here: a couple miniature prints I did in varying scales. I feel like the detail level would be sufficient.
