>>9779414>>9781307Top pic are Mybuild Mecha Frame. They seat a standard minifig. In my case, an altered MH (monster high) figure. (Had to make her smol to fit.) Joints have a good range of motion. It's an interesting build, the arm & shoulder use a hinge + ball joint so the arms can be moved in front of the body, so you could hold a mecha rifle with both hands or block the front with a shield. Downside is the clutch isn't the best on random pieces, and often the whole shoulder and arm assembly pop off when moving them. Going to try "Le-Glue" water soluble block glue on the next one I build in key places to see if that works to fix it. Most of the joints have been good and tight, however that blue mech in the back dose have some joint looseness that pledge might fix. It's an interesting line, and not obscenely expensive. Many of the older ones are around 20 burgerbux on amazon. Overall, I'd say good but not excellent quality.
Bottom pic are Mega blox halo mecha. The digraded legs look good, but are only jointed at the hip and foot... no knees or other joints so it limits leg posability. The older ones also had a terrible peg & clip joint system (bigger mech) but was very easy to modify for a larger (MH) pilot. They did replace the clip joints with better ball joints in the newer ones, (the smaller mecha) but kept the jointless legs. They fit mega halo sized pilots. Aside from the older clip joints, no issues with clutch or quality of the parts.
Ideally, I'd love to find completely enclosed cockpits (not a fan of the open designs) that could be modified to fit the larger MH scale figures (doubt there are any that would fit the larger MH scale figures out of the box) with good quality parts. Maybe even torso rotation? Prefer the ball joints (like mixels?) over clips for joints. Also, not a fan of the ratcheting joints like early lego mecha (Exo squad?) used to use. They are great for bigger, heavier mecha, not smaller ones. Sorry for the blog. Thanks.
