I'm wanting to do a custom of the MG Astray Red Frame, but I was hoping you guys could advise me. I'm going to change the colors like so:
• Red > Copper
• White to charcoal grey
• Green (on head) > neon purple
• Black stays black
• Light grey on torso > ???
• Gold on katanas/sheaths > ???
• Katana blades silver > ???
What would you suggest I do for the light grey, gold, and silver parts? I could just lump them in with some other colors, but I'd like to make them different if possible.
I've never painted before, but a friend of mine has an airbrush that he said I can use. Any suggestions for a good paint for a newbie? And should I paint all the pieces before I assemble the kit, or what? In my experience, it's pretty tough to get many pieces apart once they're put together, and I don't want to break anything on the actual project. I'll check the guide for this stuff, but I wanted to ask here, too.
Also, this isn't my build. I got this busted MG Astray Red Frame from someone else and I'm just going to use it to practice painting.
