Maybe there's a sense of completionism, but I'd say there's probs some number of folks who fondly rember their childhood frens, or just really like a certain vehicle because of whatever reason. I'll get beat up if I call Skids a van, but maybe it resembled someone's family car from their childhood, who knows. I post bios partly so people can relive that bit of falling in love with their childhood bot, or to love a recent purchase of some rando they made.

I've half a mind to buy his figure just to give him some love. He's not my fave and I'm currently indifferent about both his modes (subject to change), but no one deserves this. I don't think he died in Marvel, but in UK he DID get stuck in limbo for two years, trapped in some unseen nightmare, while Galvatron ran amok (and about) all the while.
Hope he gets more love, for people who own him as well as for people who write/draw him. Fuck. I might go out of my way to love him if his figure comes out.

Ok I will... but hm.. I don't know too much about military stuff, and don't know the benefits of a crawling launchpad (saving airplane fuel but at the cost of fueling a fuck-huge crawler?) and not sure who or what can do repairs. Unsure what personality to give him or Ironworks either, the latter is no longer the sole guardian of the micros. Airwave's proportions look like Metroplex as does his crawly mode, so that's nice. I'd make him my Metroplex or Metrotitan but uh... I thought he had a monoeye but turns out it's the orange stuff on either side that's his eyes? What's the circle for?

Anyway, hoping for suggestions on personalities for the two, as well as comboned altmodes or armour.

Probs partly a wholesome "I think I prefer this older guy, I hope others do too", and maybe a mean "I like, or am forced to remain with, this older figure, FUCK people who'll get the newer ones".
I prefer older Warpath, thinks the new one looks dinky - head looks like a person wearing a ski mask, turret and chassis looks kinda ill-fitting - but I get that it's a bit more cartoon-accurate and posable, and happy for anyone who prefers it or couldn't get the old one.

I'd like to look at it charitably and think that frens are getting passionate about defending their frens, but there's occasionally some vitriol that I mostly skim over here.
One thing to note, newer figures means that older ones might be found cheapy - tempted to find a Classics Ramjet instead of an ER Conehead.
