We currently have:
- two, possibly three different alien forms in two different colors which implies mutation or stages of life or camouflage ability
- knowledge that they're intelligent enough to wear a little humanoid space suit and shape their non-humanoid limbs to use it, if not design and create it themselves
- non-threatening appearance and behavior, for now. There could be a gremlins situation coming where something the humans do triggers an aggressive version later
- we know they live near the energy rocks that humans have turned into a fuel source which could lead to some Metroid/phazon-style science accident or animosity between the two species
- we've seen two pieces of alien flora but I believe they're an immature and mature form of the same plant, seen here. The new growth is always pink and the mature limbs at the bottom turn blue over time.
Meanwhile, the human side shows that lego thought out the lore and it's up to us to discover it, with clear color differentiation between the construction (yellow), exploration (blue), and science (green) teams' space suits. While most of the batteries are the same kind of blue/purple as the crystals and there's a plate in the junior set literally explaining how we use them for energy, the launchpad has a pink battery which is humanity's foray into using the alien plant life to make more efficient fuel, supported by a sticker in the habitat showing the mixture of berries and crystals creating a pink battery.
