>>6675627The BB-8 is a lot of fun, much like any other Sphero. R2-D2 is a bit cooler in terms of what he can do, since he has lights and sounds coming from the droid itself (BB-8 has its sounds come from the app on your phone), however his treads tend to pick up hair from the carpet very easily.
The Force Band is a piece of shit, so far as I can tell. Maybe I just need to calibrate it differently or something, but I found that the gestures rarely worked.
Don't expect the droids to do much more than be cool, fairly movie accurate remote controlled toys. They have some canned animations that are cool to see, but mostly it is just driving them around like an R/C car. They have some other features but they are weak shit, and the "watch with me" feature seems to be broken outright. Just have fun driving them around and watching them act funny.
I think they're worth it with the massive discount at Target right now, but they're not worth their typical retail price. They make cool office toys, if you have that kind of job.
