If you place the car doors like I do, it makes the figs sit higher than some people like, but it works well for me. Also these are just bench seats but you can see that where it places the minifig butt gives enough arm clearance for both driver and passenger. The reason I make the figs sit so high is a compromise between keeping the vehicle six-wide and letting the minifig sit with arms resting at a low angle.
